We love to hate Tyrion, adore little Bran, despise the spoiled Sansa and wicked

Cersei, can’t believe the cover (Ned Stark) is missing his head and are annoyed by how everyone in the second book, A Clash of Kings, seems to be declaring himself King (I stop here or I’ll start blurting spoilers). Game of Thrones series II is about to launch and the excitement is buzzing. I don’ t like waiting a whole week for the next episode so I will wait till the end of the season to watch it sprawled in my couch, episode after episode. In the meantime I’m reading the book (s).

A Game of Thrones is the first book in A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of high fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin. It was first published on 6 August 1996. The novel won the 1997 Locus Award,^[1] and was nominated for both the 1998 Nebula Award^[2] and the 1997^[1]World Fantasy Award.  In January 2011 the novel became a New York Times bestseller^[3] and reached #1 on the list in July 2011.^[4]
